Katie Key is Editor of the Texas Music Chart™ and a member of the editorial staff of Best In Texas™ Music Magazine, both published by Shane Media.

She gathers information each week from more than 60 radio stations to formulate the weekly Top 30 and interviews Texas artists for the magazine and radio features.

Katie began her radio career at KIKY-FM in Austin, where she was known on the air as "Kactus Katie." She was also the station's Traffic Coordinator and Office Manager.

She joined Shane Media in 1997 as office assistant and soon became our Operations Manager. Even with her Texas music duties, she still contributes to Tactics Trend Reports and Show Prep materials for Shane Media stations.
