A new radio textbook for college undergraduates includes contributions from Shane Media CEO Ed Shane.

 

Shane contributed an essay on radio promotion and checklists for station promotion and marketing campaigns. 

 

 

Keith’s Radio Station is the ninth edition of radio’s most adopted textbook.  The previous editions were as The Radio Station by Michael C. Keith. 

 

Since the fourth edition of the book was published in 1993, Shane has contributed text and has reviewed and made suggestions to the authors for several sections of the book.  In the fourth and fifth editions, Shane also wrote the Foreword. 

 

Among other industry professionals who contributed to the new edition are Larry Rosin of Edison Research, Joel Denver of AllAccess and Gordon Borrell of Borrell and Associates.

 

The new book is written and edited by Professors John Allen Hendricks of Stephen F. Austin State University and Bruce Mimms of Southeast Missouri State.
